My thoughts
Set in 1848, The Elf Lord’s Revenge is a full length novel that follows the
story of Allydan Sath Nulan and Emma Treadburn. These two come from different
lives but a chance encounter tangles their paths in a journey of ups and downs.
While Emma is escaping a life caring for her alcoholic father who drank away
their fortune, Allydan Sath Nulan is trying to find who murdered his family
using powerful magic.
In a time when doing the noble
thing out weighed one’s feelings, Allydan fights his feelings for Emma that
develop as he cares for her while she is injured. As the next in line to become
the ruling warden of Allenghyst, Allydan must try to keep everyone at the
hacienda safe until the murderer can be caught. In his attempt to keep Emma
safe he does the one thing that might actually put her right in the line of
fire. Will these two be able to come out at the end of this journey together?
If you enjoy magic, mystery, and
romance then The Elf Lord’s Revenge should
be your next purchase. Arabella Thorne does a great job with the elements and
history within the book. Parts of the story moved slowly with strong details,
while others rushed on with excitement. This book is a perfect read for those
who love historical romance, and the fairy tale aspects make it a magical experience.
