Always on the outside looking in, accountant, Lindsay Stevens, has calculated her transformation from a small town, nerdy bookkeeper to a sleek, high-powered accountant down to the last penny. With all her checks finally in balance, she moves to California to start a new life free of her embarrassing past she never wants revealed.
As Hollywood's hottest tattoo artist, Shane Elliott thrives on standing out. Charismatic and free of commitments, he travels through life with a wink and a smile, hiding the letters he receives from the IRS as if they don't exist. Review
Some books will have great plots and some will have great
voice but some books will have characters that crawl into your heart while
bringing a smile to your face. This is true for the characters in Permanent by Kim Carmichael. Once we
meet sweet and shy accountant Lindsay she instantly becomes the friend you want
in real life then on the flip side we have infamous tattoo artist Shane who is
the guy in every girl’s bad boy fantasy. Separately these two make interesting
characters but once they come together it is explosive. Their ying and yang
complex is not just about finding a balance or peace but they make each other’s
personalities shine brighter. A good lead character is nothing without the
supporting ones and Kim Carmichael gives us the full package with an amazing
set of friends for Lindsay and Shane. Permanent
gives us a phenomenal story with remarkable characters and is nothing short of
a fantastic read. I am looking forward to read other works by Kim Carmichael
and suggest you follow her to not miss out on anything she publishes.
